The true story of a cooking disaster and a late-night rescue.

Location: Windsor, Ontario

Late one night as Nadia was getting ready for bed, the silence of her Windsor, Ontario home was shattered by a smoke alarm. The apartment below her was ablaze, caused by her downstairs neighbour's failed attempt to fry fish over an open flame. As this asthma sufferer battled the flames with a fire extinguisher in one hand, she promptly called the fire department with the other. They arrived in minutes to save her life and her home. Nadia says, "He took care of everything so I didn't have to, and made the clean up easy and pain-free. The house was completely restored to my specifications." Seven months later, still appreciative of the actions of her local fire department and Johnson Inc., Nadia wrote an article to publicly express thanks for the peace of mind she received in the midst of her emergency.
